In autumn 2006, Elsbeth Stern became full professor of empirical research into teaching and learning and head of the Institute for Behavioural Sciences at D-GESS. In this role, she was also responsible for teacher training at ETH, which includes grammar school teachers in the MINT subjects. As a cognitive psychologist, she studied the learning and teaching of mathematical and natural science subjects from the perspective of cognitive and learning psychology. On Thursday, she will give her farewell lecture on the topic of ‘Intelligence: How, when and where does it show itself?’. Event language: German.
